This listing is for degummed, bleached and partially lignin free hemp fiber. This hemp has a short staple, between 1"-2" length. Its has been processed but not carded. Combes well on hand carders and mixes well with other bast and animal fibers. From China.

This hemp top sliver is great for carding, spinning, knitting, felting --- the list goes on and on the many things you can make with the hemp fiber. Have fun using this bast fiber to create unique art batts by mixing the hemp with other cellulose fibers like cotton or go wild and mix is with protein fibers such as wool and silk. Hemp can add texture, strength or weight to your spinning projects. Or on its own it is thought to have great antibacterial properties.
