This listing is for 1 skein of hand-spun 100% nettle yarn. This nettle has been harvested, washed, dried and hand spun into skeins of yarn. It is harvested and spun in the Himalayan Mountain Region of India. There may be slight over spinning and under spinning as well as VM/Bark in the yarn due to the hand spun process. Skeins are sold by weight and due to the hand spun process, yardage varies. 1 skein can be anywhere from 200 yards to 275 yards depending on how the skein was spun. Nettle fiber gets softer with each wash so if you find the yarn stiff to work with, simmer the yarn in a water / surfactant bath for 30 minutes to 1 hour.

Note: The last picture is an example of a capelet I made using the nettle yarn (not included in listing). The pattern is "Alee" by Donna Yacino.

♻ Have fun upcycling this into your new project. ♻
